History & Future

The Peel Region is the fastest growing region in the country.  The demands for health improvement are likewise increasing.  Already there is an established collaborative approach to health care in the Peel Region. Partnerships have been established amongst providers, Murdoch University, Notre Dame University, City of Mandurah, Health Solutions (WA) Pty Ltd and numerous organisations.

There is not enough money to do everything, but you, the people of this community deserve the best.

A strategy to fill in the gaps within government funding has been the reason for the creation of the Peel Health Campus Foundation.

In 2005, the Peel Health Campus Foundation was established to support the promotion, the prevention and control of disease in the Peel Region by the provision of:

  • Treatment caring;
  • Activities that control diseases;
  • Education, training and research;
  • Aids and equipment; and
  • Provision of relevant facilities

The Foundation's inaugural project is the establishment of a dedicated Paediatric Unit at the Peel Health Campus to ensure all children will receive excellent treatment in facilities designed for children during their illness. The total cost (at 2010 levels) is targeted at $3.8 million. Thanks to the large number of generous donors, the Foundation has raised (including pledges) more than $3.5 million which has enabled a start to take place on the building. The Foundation still needs to raise the remainder of the money to fund the fixtures and fittings required to operate the new paediatric wing.

Help us build a healthier future for the Peel community. Make a donation today!

Donors can be assured that income earned goes directly into enhancement of the health and well being of the people in our region. Charitable gifts received by the Foundation are applied to the most pressing needs and services.
