About Us

The Peel Health Foundation, until recently based at Peel Heath Campus, was launched on June 24th 2005 by Patron, Clinical Professor Fiona Wood (Australian of the Year 2005) to help raise funds for health needs in the Peel region.

The Foundation's inaugural project was the establishment of a dedicated Paediatric Wing at a cost of $3.8 million (at 2010 costs). Thanks to the large number of generous donors, the Foundation raised the funds to build the new Wing and also to fund the fixtures and fittings required to operate the new paediatric wing.

Peel Health Foundation has received generous support from all sections of the Community including: federal, state and local politicians; local shires and government agencies; corporate and small business; community groups; sporting clubs; service clubs; schools; and individuals.

With the successful completion of the Paediatric Wing at Peel Health Campus during 2010, the Peel Health Foundation is eager to commit to its next major project and continue its work assisting in the prevention and control of diseases.

The Foundation Board invites groups or individuals to assist in determining our next major project, which we envisage will benefit and promote the well-being of the Peel community.

As the Foundation Board is keen to incorporate local input and knowledge in determining the next project, it will consider all ideas and proposals put forward. In addition to receiving submissions, the Foundation Board plans to run focus groups for members of the public and health professionals.

Please send your submissions to:
